When generating a full cPanel backup, you can normally choose whether to receive an email notification when the process finishes.
- Open the full-backup generation screen.
- Enter an email address if you want a completion notice.
- Otherwise select the option not to send a completion email.
- Generate the backup.
The notification tells you the backup process completed; it does not replace verifying that the archive exists at the selected destination and is a reasonable size. For an important backup, confirm the file is present before making destructive changes to the website or account.
