To create a full account backup, open cPanel → Files → Backup and choose Download a Full Account Backup, or use Backup Wizard → Back Up → Full Backup.
- Select the backup destination.
- Choose whether cPanel should send a completion notification.
- Enter any destination credentials required for a remote destination.
- Review the selections carefully.
- Choose Generate Backup.
If you save the backup to the Home Directory, the archive remains on the hosting account until you download or remove it. Large backups can consume substantial disk space, so download important copies and clean up old archives when they are no longer needed.
