When an eligible domain is using a temporary domain, current cPanel provides a path to replace it with a registered domain.
- Open cPanel → Domains → Domains.
- Click Manage for the temporary domain.
- Select Replace with a registered domain.
- Enter the registered domain name.
- Click Update.
After replacement, the domain gains the DNS-editing and email capabilities that the hosting package provides.
If the temporary name is the account's Main Domain, cPanel's current documentation directs that change through the domain-renaming workflow instead of the normal replacement control.
