An alias domain serves the same website content as another domain. In current cPanel, this is created by sharing the existing document root.

  1. Open cPanel → Domains → Domains → Create a New Domain.
  2. Select Registered Domain.
  3. Enter the additional domain name.
  4. Leave Share document root enabled for the existing site.
  5. Submit the domain.
Important: cPanel documents the shared-document-root selection as permanent for that domain relationship. If the domain needs its own website, create it with a separate document root instead.

The domain still needs correct authoritative DNS before visitors can reach the site through the alias name.
