Modern cPanel creates subdomains from the same Domains interface used for other domain types.
- Open cPanel → Domains → Domains.
- Click Create a New Domain.
- Select Registered Domain.
- Enter the complete subdomain, such as
shop.example.com. - Choose whether it should share an existing document root or use its own directory.
- Click Submit.
cPanel creates the required domain configuration and, when the DNS zone is hosted locally and permissions allow it, creates the corresponding DNS information.
DNS changes are not always visible immediately because resolvers can cache earlier data until its TTL expires.
