An autoresponder automatically sends a reply when a message arrives for an email address. It is useful for vacation notices, temporary unavailability, and standard acknowledgements.
- Open cPanel → Email → Autoresponders.
- Select Add Autoresponder.
- Choose the correct character set; UTF-8 is appropriate for most use.
- Set the interval between replies to the same sender.
- Enter the email address, From name, subject, and response body.
- Set start and stop behavior when needed.
- Create the autoresponder.
Enabling an autoresponder does not normally stop the original incoming message from being delivered to the mailbox.
