How to Create and Manage Databases in Manage My Databases Print

In current cPanel versions, the main MySQL/MariaDB management interface is named Manage My Databases. Older documentation may call it MySQL Databases.

Use this interface to create and delete databases, create and manage database users, assign users to databases, change privileges, check or repair databases, and rename eligible databases/users.

Use phpMyAdmin for manipulating data inside an existing database. Do not create databases or database users in phpMyAdmin because cPanel warns that doing so bypasses cPanel's database mapping and can interfere with backups and restores.
