A disk quota exceeded condition means the hosting account has reached its allowed storage limit. New writes can fail, which can affect uploads, application updates, databases, sessions, email delivery, and backup creation.
- Open Disk Usage and identify the largest directories.
- Check for old local backup archives, abandoned staging copies, cache files, and large logs.
- Remove only content you have confirmed is unnecessary.
- Empty File Manager Trash if deleted files are still consuming quota.
- Recheck disk usage before retrying the failed operation.
Avoid deleting unfamiliar database, mail, configuration, or application directories simply to free space.
