How to Create and Rename Files or Folders in File Manager Print

File Manager can create new files and folders and rename existing items.

Create an item

1. Navigate to the target directory.
2. Click + File or + Folder.
3. Enter the name and destination.
4. Create the item.

Rename an item

Select the file or folder and use the Rename action, or edit the item name in the interface when available.

Renaming application files or directories can break links, include paths, plugin references, or configuration values. Confirm how the file is used before changing its name.
