How to Show Hidden Files in File Manager Print

Linux hidden files begin with a dot, such as .htaccess and .user.ini. File Manager can hide these files unless the option to display them is enabled.

  1. Open File Manager.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Enable Show Hidden Files (dotfiles).
  4. Click Save.

Hidden files often control important website behavior. Before editing a file such as .htaccess, download a copy or create another recoverable copy in a safe location. A syntax error can affect the site immediately.
