File Manager provides browser-based access to files and folders in the cPanel account. Open it at cPanel → Files → File Manager.
File Manager can create, upload, download, copy, move, rename, edit, compress, extract, delete, restore, and change permissions on files and directories. Toolbar actions can be unavailable until an appropriate file or folder is selected.
Be careful when editing files inside a Git repository: cPanel specifically warns that direct File Manager changes inside repositories can create repository problems. For Git-managed projects, make changes through the normal Git workflow whenever practical.
