File Manager can compress files and folders and extract supported archives.
Create an archive
- Select the desired files or folders.
- Choose Compress.
- Select an available archive format and destination.
- Create the archive.
Extract an archive
- Select the archive.
- Click Extract.
- Choose the destination directory.
- Extract the contents.
cPanel documents support for formats such as ZIP, Gz, and Bz2 depending on installed server software. Review the archive's contents and destination before extracting so existing files are not unintentionally replaced.
