Before disabling Hotlink Protection, save a copy of the allowed-referrer list if you may need it again.
Current cPanel documentation warns that disabling Hotlink Protection deletes the entries in the allowed-URL list. Re-enabling the feature later may therefore require rebuilding that list.
After disabling it, test image and asset loading from both the main site and any legitimate external integrations that previously depended on the configuration.
