Can cPanel restore a full account backup automatically?
No. cPanel can create the archive, but automatic full-account restoration is a WHM/server-level operation.
Can cPanel restore partial backups?
Yes. Supported Home Directory, database, forwarder, and filter partial backups can be restored through cPanel.
Why can't I see File and Directory Restoration?
The feature depends on server backup configuration and feature availability.
Should I keep backups on the hosting account?
You can, but important backups should also have an independent off-account copy.
Will a restore merge old and new data?
No. Restores can overwrite current files or database content, so preserve newer data before replacing it.
