The Backup and Backup Wizard interfaces work with the same general types of cPanel backup data, but they present the workflow differently.
- Backup Wizard guides you step by step through full or partial backup creation and partial restoration. It is usually easier for occasional backup tasks.
- Backup places full-account, account-backup, partial-backup, and restore choices on a more direct interface. Experienced users may prefer it.
Both interfaces can be disabled by server feature configuration, so one or both may not appear on every account. Neither interface changes the important limitation that cPanel cannot automatically restore a full account backup by itself; automatic full-account restoration is performed at the WHM/server-administration level.
