Email forwarder backup files can be restored as a partial backup through cPanel.
- Open the Backup or Backup Wizard restore interface.
- Select the email forwarder restoration type.
- Choose the correct downloaded forwarder backup file.
- Upload it and review the resulting forwarder configuration afterward.
After restoration, verify that each destination address is still valid. Restoring old forwarding rules can reintroduce routes that were intentionally removed later.
