How to Download a MySQL Database Backup in cPanel Print

The cPanel Backup interface can download individual database backups.

  1. Open cPanel → Files → Backup.
  2. Find the Databases section under Partial Backups.
  3. Select the database you want to download.
  4. Save the resulting database backup file to a safe location.

A database backup protects stored application data, but it does not include the application's website files. Dynamic sites such as WordPress normally need both a file backup and the matching database backup for a complete manual recovery.
