The HTTPS DNS record type can advertise information about an HTTPS service, including alternate servers, protocol versions, or non-standard ports.
Current cPanel Zone Editor supports a priority, target domain name, and optional service parameters. A priority of 0 is the highest priority.
HTTPS DNS records are an advanced record type and are not required simply to make a normal website use HTTPS. A website normally needs a valid SSL certificate and appropriate web-server configuration; cPanel's Force HTTPS Redirect handles ordinary HTTP-to-HTTPS redirection.
Not all browsers support HTTPS DNS records. Unsupported clients ignore the record.
