How to Create an A Record in cPanel Print

An A record maps a hostname to an IPv4 address.

1. Open cPanel → Domains → Zone Editor.
2. Click Manage for the domain.
3. Click Add Record and choose A.
4. Enter the hostname in Name.
5. Enter the IPv4 address in Address.
6. Save the record.

Common examples include pointing the root domain or a hostname such as app.example.com to a server IPv4 address. Verify the destination IP before saving; an incorrect A record can direct visitors to the wrong server.
