An SRV record publishes the location of a network service, including its target host and port.
SRV records contain several values:
- Priority — lower values are preferred first.
- Weight — ranks records that share the same priority.
- Port — the service port.
- Target — the destination hostname.
- Open Zone Editor and manage the domain.
- Add an SRV record.
- Enter the service name and the exact priority, weight, port, and target supplied by the service provider.
- Save the record.
