MX records identify the mail servers responsible for receiving email for a domain.
- Open Zone Editor and manage the domain.
- Add or edit an MX record.
- Set the Priority. Lower numbers have higher priority.
- Enter the mail-server destination as a fully qualified domain name.
- Save the record.
Changing MX records can redirect inbound email away from the current mail system. Verify the new mail provider's required MX values and cPanel Email Routing setting before making a mail migration.
