How to Create an AAAA Record in cPanel Print

An AAAA record maps a hostname to an IPv6 address.

  1. Open Zone Editor and click Manage for the domain.
  2. Click Add Record.
  3. Select AAAA.
  4. Enter the hostname and the correct IPv6 address.
  5. Save the record.

Only publish an AAAA record when the destination service is actually reachable over IPv6. Clients can prefer IPv6 when an AAAA record is present, so a broken IPv6 destination can cause intermittent-looking connection problems.
