WP Toolkit can compare WordPress core files with the expected files for the installed WordPress version.

  1. Open cPanel → Domains → WP Toolkit.
  2. Find the website and open its additional actions.
  3. Select Check WordPress Integrity.
  4. Choose Verify Checksums.
  5. Review the results.

If core files do not match, WP Toolkit can offer to reinstall WordPress core files. Create a backup before repair work whenever possible.

Reinstalling WordPress core is intended to replace core files, not the website database, uploads, plugins, or themes. Still, verify the website afterward.

Scope: A successful core integrity check does not prove the entire website is malware-free. Unwanted code can exist in plugins, themes, uploads, or other account directories.
