WP Toolkit includes backup and restore functions for individual WordPress installations.
Create a backup
- Open cPanel → Domains → WP Toolkit.
- Find the WordPress installation.
- Select Back Up / Restore.
- Choose Back Up and allow the process to finish.
Create a backup before major WordPress, plugin, theme, database, or development changes.
Restore a backup
- Open Back Up / Restore for the website.
- Select the backup you want to restore.
- Review the backup date carefully.
- Start the restore.
- Afterward, test the homepage, important pages, forms, WordPress login, plugins, and any ecommerce or membership functions.
Restoring rolls the website back. Changes made after the selected backup was created can be lost.
WP Toolkit backup files can also be downloaded for separate safekeeping. Keep important backups in more than one location rather than relying on a single copy stored inside the same hosting account.
