A manually installed or migrated WordPress website may need to be detected before WP Toolkit can manage it.
- Open cPanel → Domains → WP Toolkit.
- Select Scan.
- Allow the scan to finish.
- Review the detected installations.
Scanning searches the hosting account for existing WordPress installations. It does not perform a fresh installation and is not intended to replace website content.
When scanning is useful
- WordPress was installed manually.
- A WordPress site was migrated into the account.
- WordPress files were moved to another location.
- An installation was previously detached from WP Toolkit.
If a valid installation still does not appear, verify that its files are complete, that wp-config.php is present, and that the database connection works. Do not install a second copy of WordPress over an existing site simply because it is not detected.
