cPanel recommends using encrypted SSL/TLS connections for mail clients.

Use the incoming and outgoing server hostname displayed under cPanel → Email Accounts → Connect Devices. cPanel generates the recommended hostname according to the certificates available for the account.
Use the full email address as the username and the mailbox password for authentication.
Recommended: Prefer the secure SSL/TLS values shown by cPanel. Non-SSL settings are provided by cPanel but are not recommended.
