Deleting a cPanel email account removes the mailbox. Review and preserve any messages you still need before confirming deletion.
- Open cPanel → Email → Email Accounts.
- Locate the mailbox you intend to remove.
- Open its management or actions menu.
- Choose the delete option.
- Read the confirmation carefully and verify the full email address.
- Confirm the deletion only when you no longer need the mailbox.
Before deleting
- Export or copy important messages.
- Check devices or applications that still use the account.
- Review forwarders, forms, billing systems, and other services that may send to the address.
Deleting a mailbox is different from removing it from a phone or email application. Removing an account from an app does not delete the server-side mailbox.
