When enabled, cPanel → Files → Git Version Control lets a cPanel account host and manage Git repositories. Git tracks file changes and can be used as part of a controlled development and deployment workflow.
cPanel can create a repository or clone a supported remote repository. Some Git tasks still require command-line access, and private repositories require additional SSH-key configuration.
Avoid manually editing Git repository files through File Manager unless you understand how the change will interact with the repository state.
