Old certificate material can accumulate in cPanel, but deletion should be deliberate.
Before deleting a certificate or private key, confirm that it is not attached to a live SSL site, needed for a pending renewal, or required for a certificate you may need to reinstall.
A private key cannot be reconstructed from the public certificate. If the key must be retained, store a secure backup first. Removing unused records can simplify management, but deleting the wrong key can make an otherwise valid certificate unusable.
