When the SSL/TLS interface is enabled, cPanel can install a certificate manually for a hosted domain.
- Open cPanel → Security → SSL/TLS or the equivalent Certificates tab.
- Open Install and Manage SSL for your site (HTTPS).
- Select the domain.
- Provide the certificate, matching private key, and CA bundle when required.
- Review the populated fields carefully.
- Install the certificate.
The certificate and private key must match. Keep a secure copy of the private key before making changes because a lost private key cannot be recovered from the certificate alone.
