When the server provides Apache mod_deflate, cPanel → Software → Optimize Website can configure content compression.
You can disable compression, compress all content, or specify MIME types to compress. Compression can reduce transferred data for text-based content such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, and plain text.
Do not assume that already-compressed formats such as many images or archives will benefit significantly. After changing compression settings, test the site and inspect response headers with browser developer tools if you need to confirm whether compression is active.
