An expired certificate is no longer within its valid date range and browsers can warn visitors about the connection.
- Open SSL/TLS Status and confirm which certificate is installed and its expiration date.
- If the site normally uses AutoSSL, review the most recent AutoSSL result and correct any renewal error.
- If the certificate was installed manually, obtain and install the renewed certificate with the correct private key and chain.
- Verify the browser receives the new certificate after installation.
Also check DNS if the browser appears to receive a certificate from a different server than the one shown in cPanel.
