An expired certificate is no longer within its valid date range and browsers can warn visitors about the connection.

  1. Open SSL/TLS Status and confirm which certificate is installed and its expiration date.
  2. If the site normally uses AutoSSL, review the most recent AutoSSL result and correct any renewal error.
  3. If the certificate was installed manually, obtain and install the renewed certificate with the correct private key and chain.
  4. Verify the browser receives the new certificate after installation.

Also check DNS if the browser appears to receive a certificate from a different server than the one shown in cPanel.
