Diagnosing SPF, DKIM, DMARC, or PTR Warnings in Email Deliverability Print

cPanel Email Deliverability checks mail-related DNS records that receiving systems use to evaluate sender identity and policy.

  1. Open cPanel → Email → Email Deliverability and select the affected domain.
  2. Review DKIM, SPF, DMARC, and reverse-DNS/PTR sections for reported problems.
  3. Make DNS changes at the authoritative DNS provider. If cPanel is not authoritative, a record entered only in the local cPanel zone will not change public DNS.
  4. Do not create duplicate or contradictory SPF policies.
  5. Remember that PTR records are controlled by the owner of the sending IP address, not by an ordinary domain-zone TXT/A record.

Authentication records improve trust signals but do not guarantee that every recipient will accept every message.
